Community Development Society organized ZO HUAN project launching program on 21st January 2023 at B.Kaljang Village, Sangai Block, Churachandpur District, Manipur. This Project was launched by Smt.VL Roui Kullai, IFS, Addl. Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (APCCF) at B.Kaljang ommunity Hall and address the Community.
VL Roui Kullai, IFS & APCCF, said in her inaugural address that this Project should inspire and motivate the entire Community and also express her wish for its success. B. Thangkhanmang, Chief of B. Kaljang, addresses the Community and expresses his gratitude; he also motivates the beneficiaries and, in his statement, declares that the beneficiaries will utilize the land allotted as their own and asks the Community to work with determination for the success of the Project. The Chief further said how fortunate and a blessing it is for him and the Community of B. Kaljang to be chosen as project beneficiaries by The Community Development Society.
Shri Lianzamung Tonsing, President of CDS, addresses the Community in the inaugural program, expresses his wish for success, and asks the Community to be persistent and determined in their Farming.
The 35 households selected for the Zohuan Project at B. Kaljang will be under the supervision of The Community Development Society. It is to be noted that the Project is sponsored by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), North East India Bio-Cultural Conservation Initiative (NEBI), and Ministry of Environment Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC).
