COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY distribute health and hygiene kit at 5 Relief Centres setup for Internally Displaced Persons due to the humanitarian crisis in Manipur on the 9th September 2023.
The distribution aimed to provide essential health and hygiene supplies to targeted communities and individuals in need. The primary objectives of the health and hygiene kit distribution program were to Promote good health and hygiene practices, Provide essential supplies to individuals and families lacking access to basic health and hygiene resources, Mitigate the spread of diseases at relief centres. A thorough needs assessment was conducted to identify the their specific requirements, and the scope of the distribution program. The health and hygiene kits were designed to include essential items such as soap, sanitary pads, toothbrushes, toothpaste, detergent powder, anteseptic solution, tootbrush, nail cutter. Bucket, mug, comb, toilet soap and other relevant items. Distribution were established in collaboration with Joint Students Body Lamka, Local community leaders, health centers, schools, or humanitarian organizations. Informational materials, pamphlets, and sessions will be provided to raise awareness about proper hygiene practices and the effective use of the distributed items in due course.
