The Community Development Society (CDS) at around 1:00 pm IST Inaugurated a recently procured 1215 Ashok Leyland Tipper at the Organization’s head office, Bethel Area Dorcas Veng, New Lamka. Flagging off, Thanks Giving and Blessing of the Truck was honoured by Rev. M. Zalian, Divisional Superintendent, EBC Lamka South Division. It is to be noted that the ADC Churachandpur launched a Solid Wasted management Project (SWMP) in 2018 where the door-to-door collection of Solid wasted Garbage was outsourced to NGOs. In the statement made by Mr Lianzamung Tonsing, President, of CDS the Organization as a partner of the ADC under the SWMP project offer the service to various localities since 2018 through a rental truck. He also further states that procurement of the Truck minimises the organisation’s challenges and inconvenience in performing the service to society. The organization with its rental truck had provided once-in-a-week service in recent years however with the procurement of its truck the service will be added further to two days in a week service. With Authorization from the ADC Churachandpur, the Community Development Society will also cover an additional Area such as Zenhang Lamka, Kawnpui and Thingkangphai from July 2022 and will be providing free services for two consecutive month’s i.e July and August as an Introductory offer while subscriber will begin paying the bill from September.
