Community Development Society which focuses on the promotion of youth activities and its empowerment have participated in a Youth Meet organized at Thanlon Village by the Thanlon Youth Club and Zomi Youth Association. The meet was organized for a period of three days from the 28th October to the 30th October 2020.
The Youth Meet was organized by the mentioned civil bodies with an aim to promote solidarity among the youths of Thanlon Village under the theme of “Helping the needy, comforting the despair”. The Youth Meet encompasses various outdoor and indoor activities which includes competition in football, volleyball, Bible recitation, Choir, Thanlon Mr & Miss Contest and Talent Hunt among the youths of Thanlon village.
The Meet was conceptualized by the organizer with an aim to promote solidarity among the youths of Thanlon Village and to acclimatized the returnee’s youth due to Covid-19 Pandemic who have returned to Thanlon Village from various areas across the state and country.
Community Development Society as a developmental organization and youth centered organization have been invited to grace the Youth Meet as a Guest and participates in the football and volleyball competition. The organization staffs with well-wishers’ have participated as a team in football and volleyball competition with a commendable team spirit and vigor during the Meet’s outdoor activities. The President of CDS have grace the Meet as Chief Guest on the 30th October 2020 during the Closing Ceremony and Prize Distribution Program.
